Will we see this on ABC, CBS, or NBC? We definitely would if it were a Bush protester.
Pelosi is trying to buy the votes of the Teachers Union by giving them a $26B aid package and she even had the gall to tweet about saving teachers jobs! The States have threatened to lay off teachers and the Dems have responded with handouts. No offense teachers but get a life and quit being beggars and wards of the State! I am a union member, not a public employee union, but a real union that goes out and works hard every day and if we don’t produce we get fired, when the jobs aren’t there, we get laid off.
My union might revoke my card, but enough is enough.
State governments are failing everyone. Let’s start with laying off the real culprits, the bureaucrats, instituting pay cuts of all elected officials, reducing the size of government payrolls with either pay cuts or layoffs. Start with every department and cut back by the same percentage as unemployment is in that State and add another 5% to the cut.
I am not for laying off teachers, but they aren’t any more privileged than I am. I spent years risking my life every day to make sure hard working Americans had electrical power. 3:00 am in the middle of January, 10 below in ice storms, we climbed poles, dug through frozen ground, got the power on! In normal days we built the electric infrastructure for Hospitals, housing developments, highways, government offices, television and radio stations, cell towers, but those days are gone. Fanny and Freddie fixed that, but Wall Street got the blame. No more loans, no more building permits, no more jobs.
Result? Massive layoffs of union workers. But wait, aren’t the unions all getting bailed out? We didn’t. And hundreds and now thousands of private sector union members are sitting idle. Hey Pelosi! You have lost my vote.
TheHill.com has a great piece on the whoring out of our public sector unions.

While I believe completely in freedom of religion, I do not believe that means bowing down to someone else’s way of life. I believe in the freedom this country gives us to worship as we please as the founders set forth in the Constitution. But I also believe I have the Right to stand up and call foul when someone else is trying to take away that right, as I believe the Islamic faith is trying to do.
Thanks to Vincent DeFilippo for bringing this to my attention. This really isn’t new stuff, just not what ABC, NBC,CBS and their cable affiliates won’t show you or do in depth reporting on.
The President once again has ignored the facts and is drinking his own cool-aid. While the Latest report from the Medicare Trustees says they have added 12 years of solvency to Medicare their own Chief Actuary says that’s not true and those are fraudulent numbers. Hidden in the footnotes in the appendix of this report he says the savings that the Obama Administration is claiming are “extremely unlikely to occur.” Fact: You can not add 30,000,000 +/- more people to the government system without increasing costs.
But you won’t hear about the footnotes on ABC,CBS,NBC or their cable affiliates. Maybe CNN, but I doubt it.
He also talks about not cutting benefits from our seniors, but they cut $500,000,000,000 (billion) from the fund partly by cutting Medicare Advantage a very popular program. He touts the $3.85 per week savings in medicare premiums for seniors. $3.85, yep that almost enough for a can of cat food.
I do agree with the President on one part of his video speech “…we are no longer accepting business as usual”. No I am not. Where will you be on November 2, 2010?
The Taliban has claimed responsibility for the murder of 10 medical aid workers. The Taliban said the 10 were carrying bibles and trying to convert Afghans to Christianity. Conversion to any religion other than Islam is a capital crime in Afghanistan.
Sharia Rule, that’s what we set up there. And we have told the Taliban that we are leaving so they are becoming emboldened.
Where is the shock and outrage from the American Muslim community? ow long will it take before we understand what is going on?

There is a great piece written by Charlie Reese back in 1985 and re-written again in 1995 about the 545 people responsible for the mess we find the Federal Government.
545 arrogant, deaf, corrupt individuals that know what is best for us. It is worth a read. I have included the link so you can read both the original 1985 version and his updated 1995 article.
snopes.com: Charley Reese – 545 People.
This one is from an email I received and I cannot attribute the changes and additions to Reese, but they are relevant and factual.
EVERY CITIZEN NEEDS TO READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THIS JOURNALIST HAS SCRIPTED IN THIS MESSAGE. READ IT AND THEN REALLY THINK ABOUT OUR CURRENT POLITICAL DEBACLE.
545 PEOPLE–By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to
coerce a senator, a congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million
dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits…. . The president can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? Nancy Pelosi. She is the leader of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million can not replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red .
If the Army & Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or “politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power..
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees…
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had the largest middle class in the world, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What in the hell happened? Can you spell ‘politicians? ‘ I hope this goes around THE USA at least 100 times!!!

Do you know who Lilly is? Most of us don’t. But Congress felt compelled and the President agreed that one of the cornerstones of our justice system, statute of limitations, should be removed just for Lilly. They did this to sidestep the Supreme Court ruling finding that Lilly failed to sue within the required 180 day statute. She was sueing for employment going back to 1979. The statute of limitations protects us all from lawsuits brought in an untimely manner. What if you got sued for something that happened in 1980, 30 years ago. What if during that 30 years all of your witnesses that corroborate your defense have died? How do you defend yourself. This is an outrage and you should be outraged.
