Jon Corzine the ex-CEO of MF Global will testify before Congress today about the missing one billion two hundred thousand dollars of customer funds according to CBS‘ The Early Show.
Corzine the former Democratic Senator and Governor from New Jersey and former CEO of Goldman Sachs has extensive and close ties to the White House. But CBS never mentioned either his political history or his current ties to both President Obama and Vice President Biden.
Both Biden and Obama have praised Corzine and spoken of him in glowing terms for his help in the recession recovery however none of the major news outlets link him to this administration. According to a post in the Daily Caller, Biden said:
“Ladies and gentlemen, the president and I weren’t back there blaming Jon Corzine then,” on a video of a campaign rally, which surfaced in November. “You know what we were doing? We were on the phone calling Jon Corzine — literally. I literally picked up the phone and called Jon Corzine, and said, ‘Jon, what do you think we should do?’
“The reason why we called Jon was because we knew he knew about the economy, about world markets, about how we had to respond, unlike almost anyone we knew … we trusted his judgment.”
Corzine is one more in a long list of culprits not in saving the country from a recession but helping to get us into one. He isn’t expected to say much on the Hill today other than invoking his right refuse to answer on the grounds it might incriminate him.

Nancy Pelosi, House Minority Leader
“I like Barney Frank’s quote the best, where he said ‘I never thought I’d live such a good life that I would see Newt Gingrich be the nominee of the Republican party,’” Pelosi said in an exclusive interview Friday. “That quote I think spoke for a lot of us.”
Pelosi didn’t go into detail about Gingrich’s past transgressions, but she tipped her hand. “One of these days we’ll have a conversation about Newt Gingrich,” Pelosi said. “I know a lot about him. I served on the investigative committee that investigated him, four of us locked in a room in an undisclosed location for a year. A thousand pages of his stuff.”
Pressed for more detail she wouldn’t go further. “Not right here,” Pelosi joked. “When the time’s right.”
Revealing anything investigated by a confidential Ethics Committee investigation would in itself be an ethics violation. Just threatening to share that information might violate Congressional Ethics Rules. Is this proof of how afraid the liberal left is of former Speaker Newt Gingrich. Every time there has been a new front-runner in the GOP race there have been new attacks on that person, with the notable exception of Mitt Romney. Doesn’t this lend credence to the media and the liberal left wanting Romney as the opponent against President Obama? They think they can beat another progressive politician but are afraid of more conservative ones.
Pelosi’ name came up recently in an ABC News investigation on a growing Congressional insider trading scandal where she allegedly received an insider position with a very coveted and hard to get IPO. She has denied the allegation. Seems ethics in Washington are subjective.
The most recent Guttmacher Institute Policy Review (vol. 11 no.3) shows that the abortion rate for black women is almost five times higher than that of white woman. The Not Ready for Prime Time media never talks about where and why pro-abortion thought comes from. But they should. A fair and honest Fourth Estate would report facts not opinion, so here are some facts.
Based on many of Magaret Sanger’s writings it is well documented that she was an advocate of Eugenics.
“The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it.” (Women and the New Race, Eugenics Pub. Co.,1920).
“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” Margaret Sanger’s December 19, 1939 letter to Dr. Clarence Gamble, 255 Adams Street, Milton, Massachusetts. Original source: Sophia Smith Collection, Smith College, North Hampton, Massachusetts. Also described in Linda Gordon’s Woman’s Body, Woman’s Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America. New York: Grossman Publishers, 1976.
Abortion rights (pro-choice) activists should understand the basis of Planned Parenthood and where modern-day pro-abortion thought comes from. Hailing as a hero of woman’s rights a person with a plan to decimate the “undesirable” population in America is beyond comprehension in an enlightened society. But masking it with politically correct talking points in order to hide the truth is unconscionable.
Whether or not you agree with pro-choice of pro–life it is important to know the history of the subject and think critically about where we are today as a Christian nation in terms of abortion and the public funding of such.

the unemployment rate looks like it might be on the right trend, something the Obama White House may exploit as good news. However there is a tough number that they will want to hide and the NRFPT news media won’t report on; 315,000 people stopped bothering to look for employment. The Labor Department when calculating unemployment numbers sees these folks as a group that doesn’t get counted. They simply don’t exist in their world.
Private sector employers added 120,000 jobs last month. With that, the unemployment rate dropped to the lowest level in more than two and a half years.
Good news and bad. Which will you here tonight?
